Part-time Finance Manager (Senior Accountant)
Salary $90k package at 3-4 days pro rated

SLR Productions is looking for a hands on Finance Manager who can manage the companies accounting and finance function. The chosen candidate will be part of the management team on all commercial matters relating to the companies business needs.

The Finance manager will be responsible for the following:

• Provision of Group financial reports to SLR Management and its Shareholder
• Responsible for quarterly Forecasts and Annual Budgets for the group
• Preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation and submission of industry tax offsets
• Production Accounting including payroll
• Play a lead role in securing financing for the group
• Ensure the company maximises financial returns from its productions
• Forecasting and monitoring company cash flow and intercompany loans across the group
• Managing the companies foreign currency exposure
• Taxation including withholding tax, payroll tax, BAS, normal statutory monthly compliance, overview preparation of year end tax position and liaise with SLR’s tax agents
• Overview of third party relationships including company auditors, banks, funding bodies
• Maintaining internal control procedures and processes
• Other accounting procedures as required

Qualifications and Skills:
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

• Formal accounting qualification (preferable)
• Experience and knowledge in Production Industry accounting (preferable)
• Experience at Financial Reporting level
• MYOB accounting
• Be proficient in Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Be commercial in your approach to business solutions
• Knowledge of the Australian film and television industry and or International Children’s Television Industry (desirable)
• Ability to prioritize and manage time, with exceptional organizational skills and a facility with handling a heavy stream of high-priority projects
• Strong initiative to take on tasks and set own priorities and deadlines
• Ability to excel under pressure in a demanding, fast-paced, results-oriented work environment
• Ability to build effective working relationships within and outside the company
