Australia’s largest independent producers of iconic Australian television including Family Feud, The Great Australian Bake Off, Neighbours, Wentworth and Grand Designs is delighted to invite applications for a Senior Engineer to join its Post Production team in Sydney.


• Maintain a high technical standard and offer front line technical support at the most senior level to productions and creative talent
• Responsible for all technical operation of edit facilities and associated kit
• Design, install and remove temporary control rooms and edit facilities including implementing hardware and software upgrades
• Offering a high standard of technical support to all edit staff and productions – including efficient levels of communication with a friendly and helpful approach
• Maintain a secure, reliable and efficient media management system for the department and ensure all protocols are adhered to by the team – including rushes and project backups
• Storage and bandwidth planning and ongoing management
• Maintaining and configuring MAM, HSM, Aspera, transcode and Ingest systems
• Configure and maintain proprietary editing & NAS storage
• Configure and maintain SOE’s and deployment servers
• OB/Post integration
• Facility and suite diagrams
• Networking & Remote Access
• Thoroughly research and test technical projects as required, in relation to industry best practice and with a full project risk assessment to support any recommendation


• A thorough knowledge and working experience of AVID editing systems including AVID Storage solutions, Media Composer, Symphony and Pro Tools
• Outstanding IT and systems integration skills
• Understanding of modern post production workflows
• Working knowledge of all current file acquisition formats
• Strong organisational skills and ability to handle busy workload, understand priorities, deadlines and complete all requested tasks efficiently
• Confident and clear communication skills to deal with various levels of production staff and management and to ensure seamless communication
• Appreciation of the production process including the needs of stakeholders’ deadlines
• Knowledge of AVID Interplay systems and EVS

There will be some flexibility required in this role for occasional evening and weekend work for out of hours maintenance and other production requirements.
