We are seeking a highly seasoned and organised Account Director for Social Media & PR, with 7-10 years experience, to strategize and execute high-level campaigns for an existing Childrenâs property. Experience in Kid's Entertainment is ideal.

The successful candidate will be required to liaise with key external stakeholders and work alongside the TV series production team, merchandising partners, broadcasting networks and key retailers to promote the brand, create awareness and build the existing audience.

The role is to plan, strategise and execute a successful PR & Social campaign for a pre-school Childrenâs property, that is currently screening on Netflix, has a worldwide merchandising campaign and an upcoming live show.

This role will be based out of the Sydney office to ensure that the successful candidate works closely with our asset and design team. However, the Social & PR strategy will predominately be focused on the US market (minor focus on the Australian and UK markets).

The person who will succeed in this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment, is a good communicator and has relevant experience across merchandising, social media and PR.



- Work with the production team, key retailers and broadcasters to promote the property across the social channels and in the media.
- Post content across all social channels for the brand: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube. Additionally, will engage with fans on the social channels.
- Create a content calendar and social strategy based on key dates for the production and merchandising campaign, eg. Season premieres, product launches, key shopping dates across US, UK and Australia.
- Will run a boosting campaign and monitor the boosting budget.
- Will push content on the YouTube channel as well as have knowledge of YouTube advertising and geo-targeting specific regions through YouTube.
- Work with the design team in the Sydney office to create content (eg. Images, gifs, video assets).
- Previous experience working with known toy/mummy bloggers, influencers and toy -
YouTubers to secure coverage of the products and TV series.


- Work with the corporate PR team to help enhance the brand and media coverage.
- Write Media Releases for the brand and merchandising line.
- Conduct media outreach to outlets focusing on consumer media, including but not limited to 'Best of Toy' lists, toy awards, major print and digital media publications, YouTubers, bloggers, toy influencers and gift guides.


It is essential that the candidate have experience in and/or knowledge of the following:

- Previous experience in children's entertainment.
- Merchandising/toy campaigns.
- Knowledge of key retailers in the Australia, US and UK.
- Some knowledge of television, film and broadcasting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, ideally with management qualifications or similar.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Willingness to travel is essential.
- International candidates will be considered. Competitive remuneration packages will be negotiated based on experience.
